Peter F. Gaffney 
President

Mr. Gaffney is President of AXES, LLC and a member of the executive management team responsible for implementing and executing the firm’s overall business plan. Mr. Gaffney is directly involved in the firm’s strategic growth and business development initiatives, building new business channels through sales growth and partnership development. Mr. Gaffney also oversees the firm’s global trading operations and regulatory compliance area.
 
Mr. Gaffney has over 20 years of experience spanning across all major facets of global trading and brokerage operations. Prior to joining AXES, Mr. Gaffney provided consultancy and advisory services to executives of major firms seeking global expansion and strategic direction in the global electronic trading marketplace. Prior to his position as a consultant, Mr. Gaffney was President of NeoNet Securities Inc., an electronic cross-border institutional brokerage firm, where he was responsible for developing and executing the overall business plan and leading the global business expansion initiatives for the firm. While at NeoNet, Mr. Gaffney engineered the advancement of the firm’s strategic global position, implementing marketing initiatives and new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and business development activities. Mr. Gaffney also served as General Securities Principal and Chief Compliance Officer and as a member of the NeoNet board.
 
Prior to NeoNet, Mr. Gaffney was Vice President of the Trading Services and Business Development division for the Capital Markets Group of PaineWebber Inc. During his10-year career at PaineWebber, Mr. Gaffney was directly responsible for developing, implementing and executing growth strategies and business and trading technology expansion initiatives across the various global electronic trading and brokerage operation environments of the firm. Previously, Mr. Gaffney was Head of International Trading and Market Development for Mayer & Schweitzer Inc., an institutional trading firm.
 
Mr. Gaffney attended Rutgers University, majoring in economics and management. He is registered with the NASD as a General Securities Principal, holding Series 7 and 24 licenses and is a member of the Securities Traders Association of New York.

Robert R. Pik
Executive Vice President

Mr. Pik is an Executive Vice President of AXES, LLC and a member of the executive management team responsible for implementing and executing the firm’s overall business plan. In his role, Mr. Pik is involved with all aspects of the firm’s strategic marketing and business development activities. He also oversees the firm’s finance and administration functions and manages the firm’s relationships with its worldwide broker network. Prior to joining AXES, Mr. Pik served as Vice President, Corporate Development for Auerbach Grayson & Company, an agency brokerage firm providing international research and trading services to U.S. institutions, where he worked on various strategic initiatives, including the planning and development of the AXES business model.
 
Prior to his position with Auerbach Grayson, Mr. Pik spent 15 years in investment banking, most recently covering companies in the financial services and technology sectors, during which he successfully completed over 100 financing and advisory transactions. Mr. Pik has been associated with several leading Wall Street firms, including Putnam Lovell Securities, where he was a member of the Securities Brokerage and Financial Technology Group; Robertson Stephens, where he was head of its Financial Services Technology Group and a member of its Consumer and Business Services Groups; and PaineWebber, where he was a member of both the Consumer and Industrial Groups.
 
Mr. Pik began his financial services industry career with Manufacturers Hanover Trust where he was responsible for structuring leveraged loans and managing credit relationships with corporate banking clients.  Mr. Pik received his Masters of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and his Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is registered with the NASD as a General Securities Principal, holding Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Nickolaos A. Kontoleon
Senior Vice President

Mr. Kontoleon is a Senior Vice President of AXES, LLC and is responsible for the technical implementation and operation of the firm’s electronic brokerage services, as well as new product development initiatives. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kontoleon was Director of Administration and Operations for the firm’s parent company where he worked on the planning and development of the AXES business model.
 
Mr. Kontoleon has over 40 years of experience in the securities industry related to the planning, design implementation and operations of domestic and international financial services for depositories, banks and trust companies and securities brokerage services. During his professional career, Mr. Kontoleon has been associated with such leading financial institutions as Participants Trust Company, Bradford Trust Company, Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.
Most recently, Mr. Kontoleon was the President of his own consulting company where his experiences included strategic plan development, project management, new product design, business reengineering, and the design of quantitative and qualitative evaluation tools for start-ups and ongoing operations. Prior to joining the firm’s parent, Mr. Kontoleon worked for Cross Border Exchange Corp., a software firm providing Internet-based services for processing cross-border trades.
 
Mr. Kontoleon has an AAS in Computer Sciences from New York University.

Jonathan L. Auerbach

Mr. Auerbach is a co-founder and member of the board of directors of AXES.
 
He is a Managing Director of Auerbach Grayson & Company, the firm’s controlling shareholder. Auerbach Grayson provides international securities research, execution and settlement for U.S. institutions through a global network of brokers. Mr. Auerbach shares responsibility for all aspects of the business with his partner, David Grayson.
 
A graduate of Yale University, Mr. Auerbach has 40 years of experience in international securities trading and marketing. He began his Wall Street career at UBS-DB (joint affiliate of Union Bank of Switzerland and Deutsche Bank), where he became Senior Vice President of Capital Markets. He was also successively Managing Director for Capital Markets at Dillon Read in London, Managing Director of his own European firm, and Chairman of the Cresvale Group’s U.S. operation.
 
Mr. Auerbach He is active in securities industry affairs. He has been a member of the Specialty Firms Advisory Committee of the New York Stock Exchange, and served as Vice Chairman of the District 10 Committee of the NASD.

Javier Dominguez

Bringing more than 25 years experience in capital markets, banking and IT, Javier Dominguez is the CEO of the Interdin Group S.A., a leading diversified financial services firm headquartered in Spain. Mr. Dominguez also serves as President of Interdin Bolsa S.V.B. S.A., a leading independent securities broker for the Spanish market and a member of the Madrid and Barcelona Stock Exchanges, and as President of Consultora de Riesgos Financieros S.A., which provides financial risk analysis consulting. Interdin Bolsa S.V.B. S.A. is the AXES broker-dealer partner for the Spanish market.

David S. Grayson

Mr. Grayson is a co-founder and member of the board of directors of AXES.
 
He is a Managing Director of Auerbach Grayson & Company, the firm’s controlling shareholder. Auerbach Grayson provides international securities research, execution and settlement for U.S. institutions through a global network of brokers. Mr. Grayson shares responsibility for all aspects of the business with his partner, Jonathan Auerbach.
 
Mr. Grayson has over 30 years of experience in the brokerage industry. He helped found Discount Brokerage Corporation, one of the original discount brokerage firms, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Tweedy Browne Clearing Corporation, both New York Stock Exchange members. He became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in which role he was responsible for all operations including marketing, branch administration and back office operations.
 
Mr. Grayson was also the Chief Executive Officer of DBI Holdings, Inc. a holdings company for two brokerage firms – Henry Krieger & Company, a New York Stock Exchange member that specialized in the sale of U.S. equities to European institutions, and Discount Brokers International, a London based member of the London Stock Exchange that offered discounted commissions to European institutions and private clients.
 
Mr. Grayson has served as Chairman of the Institutional Firms Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA). He is also a former member of the International Committee of the SIA and a former member of the New York Stock Exchange Specialty Firms Advisory Committee and Disciplinary Hearing Committee.

John H. Gutfreund

Distinguished Wall Street veteran, John Gutfreund is Senior Adviser and a member of the Executive Committee of global investment bank C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, serving emerging growth companies and investors in the technology, health care and modern defense sectors. He is also President of Gutfreund and Co., Inc., a New York-based financial consulting firm that specializes in advising select corporations and financial institutions in the United States, Europe and Asia.
 
Prior to forming his own firm, Mr. Gutfreund spent nearly 40 years at Salomon Brothers, serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board for the last ten years. A past Vice Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and former member of the Board of Directors of the Securities Industry Association (SIA), Mr. Gutfreund serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, including Compudyne Corp., LCA -Vision, Inc., Nutrition 21, Inc., and Evercel, Inc. In addition, he is a member of The Brookings Institution and its Council Advisory Committee in New York, and the Council on Foreign Relations, among other organizations.

Norman H. Pessin

A former principal for nearly 25 years of Neuberger Berman, a major investment management firm, Norman Pessin is currently a private investor with a focus on small, publicly traded companies. At Neuberger Berman, Mr. Pessin was responsible for syndicate underwriting, prime brokerage, correspondent clearing and NASDAQ market-making. He also served on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Securities Dealers and was a director of the Nasdaq Stock Market.
